অনিন্দ্যবাংলা ডেস্ক : ময়মনসিংহে উদযাপিত হলো আইনগত সহায়তা দিবস ২০২৩। এই দিবস উদযাপন উপলক্ষে শুক্রবার ২৮ এপ্রিল সকালে চীপ জুডিসিয়াল আদালত প্রাঙ্গণে বর্ণ্যাঢ্য র্র্যালী ও আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

অনুষ্ঠানের সভাপতিত্ব করেন ময়মনসিংহ জেলা লিগ্যাল এইড কমিটির চেয়ারম্যান জেলা সিনিয়র দায়রা জজ মমতাজ পারভীন ।

স্বাগত বক্তব্য রাখেন ভারপ্রাপ্ত জেলা লিগ্যাল এইড কমিটির অফিসার সিনিয়র সহকারী জজ পবন চন্দ্র বর্মন ।  তিনি বলেন ১৯৭২ সালে জাতীর পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান প্রণীত সংবিধান রচিত করে গণতন্ত্র, মানবাধিকার, সামাজিক সুবিচার ও সমতার মূলনীতিসহ বিচার প্রক্রিয়ার সাথে গরীব জনগনের বিচার পাওয়ার অধিকার সন্নিবেশিত করে ছিলেন। তারই কণ্যা ১৯৯৬ সালে প্রথমবার ক্ষমতায় এসে ২০০০ সালে সরকারী খরচে আইন সহায়তা কার্যক্রমকে একটি প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক ভিত্তিদেন। এই কার্যক্রমে আর্থিকভাবে অসচ্ছল ব্যাক্তি, উপজাতী, ক্ষুদ্র নৃ-গোষ্ঠীর মানুষ, আপোষে বিরোধ মীমাংসা সেবা, তথ্য ও পরামর্শ সেবা, আর্থিক অবস্হা নির্বিশেষে সকল জনগণ বিনামূল্যে আইনগত সহায়তা পাওয়ার অধিকারী ।

তিনি আরো বলেন ময়মনসিংহ আপোষ-মীমাংসার জন্য আবেদন পড়েছিল ৬১৯ টি, তারমধ্যে নিস্পত্তি হয়েছে ৬০৪ টি, সরকারী উপকারভোগী সংখ্যা ১৬৭৪ জন, আপোষ মীমাংসার মধ্যে অর্থ আদায় তিন কোটি দুইলাখ টাকা উপরে।

এ সময় বক্তব্য রাখেন নারী ও শিশু নির্যাতন দমন ট্রাইব্যুনাল বিচারক জেলা ও দায়রা জজ আনিসুর রহমান, স্পেশাল জজ শাহাদাত হোসেন, সাইবার ট্রাইব্যুনাল বিচারক জেলা জজ বজলুর রহমান, চীপ জুডিসিয়াল ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট মমিনুল ইসলাম, জেলা প্রশাসক মোস্তাফিজার রহমান, জেলা পুলিশ সুপার মাছুম আহমেদ ভুইয়া, জেলা আইনজীবি সমিতির সভাপতি এড. মোয়াজ্জেম হোসেন বাবুল, পাবলিক প্রসিকিউটর, সরকারী কৌশলী, লিগ্যাল এইট এবং প্যানেল আইনজীবিবৃন্দ, এনজিও সদস্যবৃন্দ, রোভার স্কাউট, বিএনসিসি, আইন শৃঙ্খলাবাহিনীর সদস্যসহ  প্রিন্ট ও ইলেকট্রনিক মিডিয়ার কিছু সাংবাদিকগণ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

Anindya Bangla Desk: Legal Aid Day 2023 was celebrated in Mymensingh. On the occasion of celebrating this day, a colorful rally and discussion meeting was held on the morning of Friday 28th April at the premises of the Cheep Judicial Court.

Mymensingh District Legal Aid Committee Chairman District Senior Sessions Judge Mumtaz Parveen presided over the event.

Acting District Legal Aid Committee Officer Senior Assistant Judge Pawan Chandra Barman delivered the welcome speech. He said the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, had written the constitution in 1972 and included the principles of democracy, human rights, social justice and equality along with the right of the poor people to get justice. His daughter first came to power in 1996 and in 2000 institutionalized the legal aid program at government expense. In this program, financially disadvantaged people, tribal, ethnic minorities, conciliation dispute resolution services, information and counseling services, all people regardless of financial status are entitled to free legal aid.

He also said that Mymensingh had 619 applications for settlement, out of which 604 have been settled, the number of government beneficiaries is 1674, and the settlement amount is over three crore two lakh rupees.

Women and Child Suppression Tribunal Judge District and Sessions Judge Anisur Rahman, Special Judge Shahadat Hossain, Cyber Tribunal Judge District Judge Bajlur Rahman, Chief Judicial Magistrate Mominul Islam, Deputy Commissioner Mostafizar Rahman, District Superintendent of Police Machum Ahmed Bhuia, Dist. Lawyers Association President Ed. Moazzem Hussain Babul, Public Prosecutor, Government Strategist, Legal Eight and Panel lawyers, NGO members, Rover Scout, BNCC, Law enforcement officers and some journalists from print and electronic media were present.
